Michael Kors AW15
Where work life meets high fashion.
Michael Kors has done it again, with an interesting collection perfect for woman. Taking massive inspiration from style icons such as Carolyn Bessette Kennedy & the Duchess of Windsor. There is something for each woman in this collection, whether you like the bags, or camel coats; there will be something each of us want.
You can definitely tell from this collection there would have been some controversy due to the massive incorporation of faux fur. Although the way Kors has included fur into the woman's suits and dresses make it more beautiful and more interesting. I'm also very glad to see that faux fur will be another massive trend for another year! Fur has been a trend for years! I'm sure it will be incorporated in outfits , bags , scarves for many more years to come. Not only is fur a huge trend, but it's the year where belts are coming back into style. Belts popped up everywhere, from being include in the suits to being wrapped around the scarves to insinuate the females curves.
What i was really impressed by this collection, is the crisp detailing gone into making these beautiful coats and suits. The tailoring on the models was flawless, and it made the collection slightly masculine yet still very feminine, modern and stylish. I loved the subtle colors chosen for this very collection; colors such as camel, grey, beetle greens, midnight blues and a pop of red in places. The collection included fur collars and patch pockets. Also camel grandpa cardigans; a laser mink coat and khaki gaberdine trench coat that i'm sure you will be seeing throughout this whole year. Nonetheless toffee-colored knit wear was also present in the collection; therefore statement knitwear will definitely be a unique touch to the autumn/winter season.
This collection made it that more exciting for me to watch because three of my favorite models Karlie Kloss , Kendall Jenner and 'model of the moment' Gigi Hadid were walking down this runway and done the runway justice. I'm definitely going to look out for more of Michael Kors' work, because he has proven to be more than just his iconic bags and shoes.
Lovely collection! I'm a huge fan of Michael Kors. Love the faux fair actually.
