Versace Spring 2015 Haute Couture

Donatella Versace. A visionary in her own right and a designer that's changing the fashion industry ever year. Season by season by season. She is constantly presenting something new and eccentric. I fall in love with her Haute couture collections all the time! She definitely makes the trends. When i saw the first runway model step out wearing a dark navy blue jumpsuit, i was surprised to say the most. Only because Versace's previous couture collections have always been majority dresses thus filled with eccentric prints and bright tones of colors. Donatella Versace said herself that her last few couture collections had been "super graphic".

Being different is always good though! Versace definitely changed the game this season and showcased a totally new look, that consisted of super flared jumpsuits tailored perfectly on the model to showcase their curves. The jumpsuit that stood out to me the most was the white jumpsuit worn by Karlie Kloss, it looked so daring and perfect on her! Yet it was so elegant.
The season also included spiraling hems on the dresses midst the flashes of skin. The collection was just fantastic. Her bold yet vibrant colors compared to her usual graphic prints, gave the illusion of a more feminine and edgy look. Which i honestly think should be showcased on the runway more often; due to the fact not only does it make the collection look risque and sultry but it makes the models look more beautiful and definitely powerful. Which is inspiring to see.

The first series of dresses was full of color and had beautiful detailing. The beautiful prints kept it classy but also gave a 80's feel to it when paired with high kneed boots. The cut out detailing on the dresses paired with a belt, insinuated the models waist but gave a slight masculine feel over the silhouette.

Lastly Versace's couture collection, i'll say it again! Was brilliant. Not only was the collection a great success but it definitely gave a strong message of empowerment , femininity yet still showed Donatella's edgy approach.
The minimalist approach was a great choice - designed by the Queen of fashion herself Donatella Versace.
